These two colours inspired a young designer, Anna Szejbakowska to create her degree collection. Seeing the effect it’s hard to be surprised that she received a distinction for it.
Paradoxically, the fascination in pink and red of this newly-graduated alumnus of the Arts Department of The Poznań Wyższa Szokła Umiejętności Społecznych started with... grey. With this colour started the experience with colouring and the natural, delicate silk turned out to be an appropriate material for all trials and experiments. It also quickly turned out that shades of grey, though appealing as they are, are absolutely not enough for the designer to create the collection she would like. That’s when red, pink were introduced and later came all the shades that are possible to obtain by combining these colours in different proportions and using different intensities of colours – and it’s worth admitting that the author has an exceptional sense of colour...
A black, expressive line is the element organising the collection, a drawing to be exact, also made by Anna Szejbakowska, which grants the other colours an uncommon depth and expressiveness, and makes the outfits sewn from them truly unique. And presumably, there aren’t many women who, looking at the red, pink in this young designer’s version, wouldn’t wish to have at least one such a dress...
