The origins of my collection

With regard to the selection of the colour range, I dedicate my work to a vast group of women. My recipient will find vivid colours enclosed, whereas someone who likes shades of grey, black will also find something appropriate here.

Besides, during the defence of my bachelor’s thesis, the models were coming out in turn, starting with the most vivid colours – the first was dressed in a pink tunic and red trousers and the last one came out in a grey, short dress.

My collection was created between two studios: the studio of painting on silk and the dress design studio. With regard to this fact, the difficulty scale was large.
I came to realise many things by my own and sometimes it meant learning from my mistakes. It took me some time to come up with some resolutions on the technical side, in order to cope with the initial projects.

While working on the collection, creating the illusion of light in the cloth was the most pleasurable experience for me. That’s why I chose red, pink. But I also strived for this by confronting colours where, for example, the colour of heather was dominant, put together with dark violet, shades of grey. Aditionally, silk possesses properties like shining, which occurs during the twist of the cloth while bending it. I think I succeeded in retaining aims like luminosity and intensity of colours in my collection.

In the meantime, while working on the collection, some new, unexpected solutions cropped up. I was encountering them on the way. Thanks to this undertaking I gained a lot of experience but still, this is merely a part of the greater integrity I strive for, which I have an idea for.
